Hi! I’m a creative from Annapolis, MD living in sunny Southern California. I call myself a “creative” because its hard categorize my work into one title. My two greatest passions have always been photography and interiors. Last year, I made the hard decision to leave my job at Gray Malin where I worked as a creative specialist styling photos, designing products and creating social media content to pursue a career more focused on interior design.

Nearing completion of the UCLA extension interior design program, I am very eager to dive into the world of interiors. For the last several months while taking classes, I have worked as a part-time design advisor at Serena and Lily which has given me a glimpse into helping clients create their dream space. It has also given me a bit of education on fabric materials, rug types, furniture sillouhettes, etc. but it has left me eager for wanting more!

As I continue to work towards a future in interior design it’s hard for me to ignore my passion for photography. I just love the art of creating a beautiful scene and capturing it well. I have a strong eye for photography and design – and while I do enjoy shooting, I really thrive when I’m providing creative direction before, during, and after the photo is captured. From photoshoot coordination, sourcing props and models, scouting locations, and styling, to the post-production stage, handling all photography edits like compositing images, removing unwanted objects, and correcting colors in Lightroom and Photoshop, I appreciate each step of the process in creating a beautiful image.

Like a lot of people in the creative industry, I started working as a graphic designer. My first job was at an international grocery store where I designed weekly advertisements and where my interest in food photography was born. In my early days at the company, I was always finding reasons to attend the photoshoots and assisting in any way I could on set, which eventually led to me overseeing all photoshoot coordination as well as providing creative guidance. With that being said, graphic design has proven to be a skill I will never stop tapping into. No matter what type of project I am working on, whether is designing a product or a simple presentation, I find that I am able to elevate it with my knowledge of composition and typography.

At home, I scratch my creative itch by constantly rearranging and redecorating my apartment to create a welcoming, warm space with natural elements and textures. Some brands that inspire me are Amber Interiors, Jenni Kayne, Pure Salt Interiors, Serena and Lily, Lulu and Georgia, Studio McGee and Food 52 ; however, sometimes the best finds come from estate sales!
